Hell Let Loose Vietnam Spawn Points Guide

Choose spawn infrastructure by who needs it and for how long: an Outpost sustains one unit, a Garrison anchors the team, an Airhead creates a temporary deep entry and NVA tunnels move players through a connected network.

OPENING MINUTES

Build the economy and a fallback before the first collapse

The official launch tactics now confirm that supplies are available at HQ at the beginning of a match, allowing Engineers to start Nodes immediately. Leadership should turn that opening into redundant routes rather than one overloaded frontline spawn.

01 · ENGINEER

Build Nodes early

Use the opening HQ supplies to establish the team's resource foundation instead of carrying the first kit directly into an infantry fight.

02 · SQUAD LEADER

Add backup Garrisons

The official advice is explicit: do not build only on the frontline. Give the team a recoverable route if the battle moves against it.

03 · WHOLE TEAM

Defend before extending

Secure the controlled ground and existing network before every squad abandons it for the next attack marker.

OUTPOST FIRST

Protect the squad's return path

An Officer should update the Outpost as the unit changes tasks. Keep it near enough to preserve tempo but offset from the most obvious route, explosion zone and objective center.

  • Tell the squad when the Outpost moves.
  • Replace it before the old position becomes irrelevant.
  • Use it to recover from a lost team-wide spawn.

GARRISON NETWORK

One Garrison is a failure waiting to happen

Shared spawns need alternate approaches. Place them so one enemy sweep cannot reveal or disable the entire network, and watch map warnings before the team loses its only route.

  • Build a second usable direction, not a decorative cluster.
  • Protect the route without stacking defenders on the radio.
  • Rebuild after a sector change before chasing kills.

RECOVERY FLOW

What to do when the forward spawn falls

01

Report

Name the lost spawn and the likely enemy direction.

02

Stop feeding

Use the nearest safe route instead of repeatedly spawning into a camped position.

03

Restore the unit

Place or update the Outpost so one squad can return to useful ground.

04

Restore the team

Coordinate supplies and rebuild a protected Garrison or reconnect the NVA tunnel network.

05

Add redundancy

Create another viable approach before the rebuilt spawn becomes the only option again.

DEFEND YOUR NETWORK

Use information before bodies

  • Watch disabled or warning states on the map.
  • Investigate enemy movement around likely approach paths.
  • Move exposed Outposts instead of waiting for destruction.
  • Keep tunnel endpoints concealed and tested.

DENY THEIRS

Follow the direction of reinforcements

  • Mark repeated enemy movement before pushing alone.
  • Search behind the contact line, not only on the objective.
  • Clear nearby defenders before committing to dismantle.
  • Report the removal so the team can exploit the longer enemy walk.
Current-build captures are still needed for exact numbersSupply costs, spacing, enemy lock distances, timers, mode exceptions and mobile boat-spawn behavior are deliberately not presented as universal values on this page yet.

QUICK ANSWERS

Spawn point questions

What is the difference between an Outpost and a Garrison?

An Outpost is the squad-level return point controlled by its leader, while a Garrison is team infrastructure. Use the Outpost to preserve your unit's current task and Garrisons to give the wider team redundant approaches.

Should I place an Outpost directly on the objective?

Usually place it close enough to return quickly but far enough that one enemy sweep or explosive attack does not remove both the squad and its route back. Terrain, mode and current enemy pressure determine the exact position.

Are NVA tunnels the same as Garrisons?

No. Tunnels create connected travel routes and support NVA asymmetric movement; they do not remove the need for a working spawn network. Build and protect the anchor, then connect useful concealed destinations.

What should a team do when a forward spawn disappears?

Do not feed the same lost route. Fall back to the nearest safe spawn, report what removed the old one, rebuild a protected Outpost first when possible, then restore a redundant Garrison or tunnel connection before the next push.
