General rifle
Start here when the squad needs a flexible infantry primary rather than a specialist tool; current role access still decides what is available.
Hell Let Loose: VietnamUnofficial News & Community HubWEAPON DIRECTORY
Browse the current catalogued weapon and variant list by faction, slot and broad class. Confirmed launch evidence is kept separate from community-catalogued data that still needs an in-game check.
LOADOUTS HAVE THEIR OWN GUIDE
This directory answers which weapons are catalogued. Use the loadout guide for the dated role, unlock and weight evidence that decides what you can actually carry.
TASK-FIRST SHORTLIST
These are neutral starting points drawn from each record's broad class and stated field use. Open the details, then check role access and current-build evidence before choosing a loadout.

Compare the catalogued US and NVA machine guns for sustained-fire squad work without assuming identical handling or ammunition.
Open the two recon rifle records when deliberate observation and selected long-range shots are the assigned task.
Use the launcher records to identify the specialist options, then verify the current loadout; damage zones and hit counts remain withheld.
Compare integrated, standalone and rifle-grenade catalogue records while treating ammunition and current-build explosive behavior as version-sensitive.
Review the shotgun and compact automatic records for compounds and dense approaches; terrain, role access and reload opportunities shape the choice.
CURRENT-BUILD REMINDER
The official Patch 1.2 changelog reduced excessive force from M203 and M79 explosions and added extra M79 magazines. Treat undated tier lists and stat tables as historical snapshots until their build and test method are clear.

QUICK ANSWERS
It is the site's complete 22-entry launch-era catalogue of named infantry weapons and distinct variants. Announced future weapons stay in the roadmap until they are released and verified, so they are not mixed into this current directory.
The directory currently contains 10 US entries and 12 NVA entries. Those are catalogue counts that include distinct variants, not a claim that every entry has the same evidence quality, role access or unlock state.
There is no universal best weapon supported by this evidence. Choose for the squad task: a general rifle, suppression, sniping, anti-vehicle work, grenade delivery or close-range fighting, then confirm that your current role and loadout can carry it.
Exact stats are withheld when there is no repeatable current-build source. Patch 1.2 changed M203 and M79 explosive force and added M79 magazines, which shows why undated stat tables and old tier lists can become misleading.
Future weapons remain in the 2026 roadmap rather than this current list. They move into the directory only after release and current-build verification.
DATA BOUNDARY
Names, factions, slots and broad weapon classes were cross-checked against official launch material, post-launch coverage and a community-maintained game catalogue. Role access and unlock labels are linked from the dated May 2026 role catalogue; weight costs, ammunition, damage values and any launch-build changes remain withheld until verified in game.
