Hell Let Loose Vietnam Patch 1.6 Live
Steam published Patch 1.6 | Live Now on October 7, 2026 (gid 1846018067925606, about 10:01 UTC). The post says Patch 1.6 is now live, with a major audio overhaul, unit composition changes, a rework of Engineer Buildables, significant Admin Camera improvements, and a further round of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes across gameplay, vehicles, UI, servers and maps. It does not say the patch is limited to one platform, and it does not use the phrase “all platforms.”
Community Feedback #6 | Command Post: what it is and what it is not
Community Feedback #6 (October 1) is the latest developer briefing on this hub and is not a patch. Patch 1.6 went live on October 7, 2026. Hotfix 1.5.2 (September 29) is the prior hotfix. CF#6 recaps early monitoring after Hotfix 1.5.2, with encouraging initial signs around stability and server replication. The later Patch 1.6 live notes confirm a major audio pass, unit changes (2 Medics, up from 1; Rifleman slots reduced from 3 to 2), a Buildables rework with free Level 1 buildings, persistent enlist filters, fuller servers prioritised again, and Vote Kick notifications visible by default with a 30-second window. CF#6 also said PC-only official servers would increase across Europe, North America and Australia; the Patch 1.6 live notes do not confirm that. A Voice Chat volume fix is still described by CF#6 as targeting Patch 1.7, and Aim Assist improvements as targeting Update 2.0. The Patch 1.6 notes do not list those two items.
Developer briefing, not a live-patch claimPatch 1.6 is Live Now per Steam Patch 1.6 | Live Now (October 7, 2026). Use that page for player impact. Hotfix 1.5.2 (September 29) is the prior hotfix. Community Feedback #6 previewed some 1.6 work; where it and the live notes differ, use the live notes. Community Feedback #5 is a briefing, not a patch. Update 1.5 remains the prior major update. Patch 1.4 remains the prior full changelog. AMD Hotfix / 1.4.1 remains the prior AMD stability note.
Improvements Live · Monitoring Ongoing
Stability & AMD
CF#6 says initial crash data following Hotfix 1.5.2 shows a significant reduction in crashes compared with previous releases, with no immediately obvious AMD-specific crash pattern within that initial monitoring data. The team will continue collecting data over a longer period. AMD FSR 4.1 is now available following Hotfix 1.5.2 and feedback on its performance is being monitored. Players should keep reporting crashes.
Improvements Ongoing
Foliage, LODs & Visual Quality
Some individual foliage issues were addressed in Hotfix 1.5.2, but CF#6 said reports of blurry foliage, asset pop-in and cover that stops rendering before the players behind it continued. CF#6 said the team was reviewing LOD and culling distances and individual assets with incorrect LOD or HLOD settings, with further improvements planned for Patch 1.6 and beyond. The Patch 1.6 live notes list texture, culling, reflection, VFX and graphical improvements among 25 map-specific fixes, but they do not name foliage, LOD or HLOD fixes. Console resolution and LOD distance improvements were being tested at the time of CF#6, with further visual improvements expected across Update 2.0 and beyond. The game currently outputs in SDR; PS5 players are advised to use HDR “On When Supported” rather than forcing HDR for all games.
Fix Live · Monitoring Ongoing
Spawn Points & Server Replication
Hotfix 1.5.2 introduced several fixes to Iris, the replication system that communicates game state between servers and players. Early feedback is encouraging: Community Server owners who previously saw spawn point and HQ degradation have not reported the same behaviour returning so far. The team is not yet treating the issue as completely resolved and will keep monitoring servers. Remaining reports of Mortars and other deployables not always spawning or displaying correctly are still being tracked.
VOIP Improvements Live · Further Improvements In Development
VOIP, Voice Volume & Audio Routing
Hotfix 1.5.2 added safeguards against players becoming silently muted, and those changes are being monitored. A fix for Voice Chat volume staying excessively loud even after reducing voice volume is targeting Patch 1.7, with the team looking to introduce it sooner if possible. Choosing a separate audio output for VOIP is something the team is keen to support but requires additional work across audio and communications systems.
Filters and fuller-server ordering shipped in Patch 1.6
Server Browser Improvements
The Patch 1.6 live notes say players’ filters on the enlist screen no longer reset after rebooting the game, the server browser prioritises fuller games, and favourites save and target the right server. Community Feedback #6 also said PC-only official server availability would increase across Europe, North America and Australia. The Patch 1.6 live notes do not confirm that PC-only change. They do say the number of official servers was reduced to support community servers.
Vote Kick changes shipped in Patch 1.6 · further moderation still from the CF#6 investigation
Vote Kick & Moderation
The Patch 1.6 live notes increase vote duration from 15 seconds to 30 seconds, and “Hide Vote to Kick” is disabled by default, so Vote Kick notifications are visible unless a player hides them. Community Feedback #6 had listed the previous window as 20 seconds in the Vote Kick section and 15 seconds in its Patch 1.6 summary; the live notes use 15 seconds. CF#6 also said the team was investigating further measures against deliberate team killing and disruptive behaviour, including vehicle-related cases. Those measures are not listed in the Patch 1.6 live notes.
Improvements in Progress
Boats & Spawn Protection
An active transport boat cannot be used as a spawn point, so a player leaving a boat with its engine running can block team spawns. Concepts under consideration include switching the engine off automatically when a player exits or after an idle period. These ideas are still being worked through and the team is asking for suggestions.
Improvements Targeting Update 2.0
Aim Assist
Work continues on the Aim Assist behaviour discussed in earlier Community Feedback updates. Subject to development and testing, the current aim is to implement further improvements by Update 2.0, with more specific details to follow.
